Banquet Room \ Whats on \ Foundation Workshop
24 Mar 2024 - 25 Mar 2024
Working across two days, suitable for all levels of experience, Foundations is an energising, playful workshop designed to introduce participants to Massive’s iconic theatrical style and inspire them about the possibility of a career in the arts. Massive has strong connections to Rotorua, running many workshops in the area over the years and is so excited to continue this mahi with Sir Howard Morrison Centre.
On offer this year is a FREE two-day Foundations workshop with teaching artists Max Palamo (who you may recognize from our Rotorua season of Half of the Sky last year) and Ebony Andrew. If you have attended a workshop with us before, we’d love to see you again - the content will be fresh and new. Likewise, if you haven’t worked with us before, we would love to welcome you to the Massive whanau.
Our workshops are suitable for all levels of experience, from curious first-timers to experienced performers. You will learn a wide range of skills and techniques, exploring different ways to make theatre pieces with your own ideas and stories at the helm. We work collaboratively, physically, and energetically so bring your A-Game and be ready to dig deep.
The workshop runs from 10am to 4pm each day on Saturday 23 and Sunday 24 March.
