About us \ News \ Halloween events for Rotorua tamariki
Get the whānau together for a fun day out with a Glow-in-the-Dark Disco and film screening of animated movie Monster Family at Sir Howard Morrison Centre this Halloween.
Taking place on Sunday 29 October, tamariki (aged 3-12 years) are encouraged to dress up in their spookiest costume for the Lets Glow Disco, held in Te Whakaruruhau (Banquet Room).
The disco will be supervised by our 'Glow Wardens', so parents can take a break and have a coffee while the kids dance the afternoon away in safety.
There are spot-prizes to be won, donated by some of the most popular tourist attractions in Rotorua, including Agrodome, Mini Golf Rotorua, Novotel Rotorua Lakeside, Paradise Valley Springs Wildlife Park, Redwoods Treewalk, Skyline Rotorua, Zorb Rotorua and 3D Trick Art Gallery.
Lets Glow Disco entry is $10 per person, or $30 for a family of four.
Sir Howard Morrison Centre Performing Arts Director Janelle Bish is excited to welcome the Rotorua community through the doors to provide a fun, safe event for whānau to enjoy.
“We have a very talented performing arts and technical design team here at the Sir Howard Morrison Centre who love nothing more than the opportunity to theme up special events for our community,” says Janelle Bish.
Following the disco, join us in Te Haumako (Black Box Theatre) to watch the animated comedy film, Monster Family. Tickets are just $5 per person and popcorn, snacks and Halloween goodies can be bought at the café to complete the theatre experience.
“Halloween offers the perfect excuse for us to come together and showcase some very spooky skills across a range of events with something for everyone to enjoy,” says Janelle Bish.
